Beautiful and unseasonably warm so I took the afternoon to get some last bits of things done outside - celebrating a little private something in the peace and quiet of the garage and marking it with the first real cigar I’ve had pretty much ever. Ashton VSG Tres Mystique - I picked up a small group of different “short smokes” to sample over the winter. It’s pretty decent - I recall what the Tiparillos I’d “borrow” from my Grandpa were like long, long ago and thankfully this is much better and interesting. IMG_3519.jpeg

Enjoyed a tasty lunch, and am half way through this bowl of the newly made Wilke Back Bay Light in an undated straight smooth brown pre-Republic Peterson’s Sterling bulldog 150 with a sterling silver band and a black vulcanite saddle p-lip stem. This blend has much less perique (10%) than the regular Back Bay (which was my idea that John Brandt blended). This version was my idea, too, as I wanted a lighter VaPer for this pipe. This is the first time I have smoked this pipe which will be dedicated to this blend. Gold Star Jamaican Blue Mountain, neat, is my drink.
