Enjoyed a tasty golden delicious apple, and am a third of the way through this bowl of year 2014 Edgeworth Ready Rubbed Match in a 2019 black rusticated Peterson 312 full bend billiard with a military mount and a nickel cap with a cumberland 4AB stem and a N.A.P. bit.

Winter storm warning in place, but no wind at the moment and 16 def F holding.. so going to see how it goes with a bowl of Haunted Woods in the BC Calabash. Will see if a cabernet works with it. If not then cool, clear water...
30 minutes finished the bowl and the wine. Put my water bottle cap on the table briefly for a sip and it was instantly frozen to the glass top! The cab was ok but not a great pairing (coffee best). The mix was oh so delightful, but did not give me the mysterious incense that it did last time.. I think packed too lightly this time around and/or the two days it aired out in the bowl (packed it earlier thinking i would get to it). Or maybe just too cold for the genteel ghost to come by... an elusive spirit! I will certainly explore these woods again...

Trivia: this Butz-Choquin Calabash chamber is a healthy 20mm at top and 45mm deep!

First smoke in a few weeks after a bout with the terrible flu (not the spicy variety, just the good old nostalgic kind) - and it is glorious - Peretti’s Royal in a Poul Hansen billiard. Cerveza Pacifico accompanies, reminds me of warm, Mexican, winter waves.View attachment 188455

Enjoyed a tasty Envy apple, and am half way through this bowl of C&D Virginia Gentleman in a straight smooth dark brown pre-1940s Comoy’s Jost’s Olde English Supreme J299 billiard with a black tapered vulcanite stem. I may end the day with this smoke if I can get everything done first.
