In a recent thread I mentioned that I have sampled a fair amount of Esoterica but one got away. I also mentioned that it might have got away for good, as I am currently trying to pause/stop tobacco buying.

An extremely generous forum member reached out to me to find out which one got away from me. Then he sent me an huge sample of 2014 Stonehaven, along with Rich Dark Flake and Hampton Flake which are closely related to Stonehaven.

The box also contained other holiday goodies (Hand written card and Chocolates ) and was sent all the way from Canada

Thanks to @originalnutcracker I am smoking Esoterica Stonehaven from 2014 in an Altinay translucent meerschaum billiard

Apologies up front for today's wordy post
I'm dedicating today's smokes to two recently departed Forums stalwarts - Harris aka Cigrmaster and Dave the Weez.
I have not met either gentlemen nor do I know them personally.
Like many here, I only know them vicariously through their posts

Harris (at least his online persona) was a character writ large.
A member with 20,000 posts.
He was passionate about his cigars, pipes and tobacco.
If something caught his fancy, he went in deep.
He would buy his favourite flakes by the pound(s)
And cleaners by the carton.

He was a great fan of Rad Davis' pipes.
But prior to Rad, Harris had a passion for Willmers. He waxed lyrical about them.
I ended up with a couple of Willmers because of his enthusiasm.
I don't have any Rads.

My first smoke is a bowl of Sam Gawith Full Flake.
Cube cut and gravity filled.
