Back home after a few days visiting parents, then returning with both sons for Christmas. Bowl of Pride of Loch Lomond in a Blatter & Batter churchwarden fit the bill, and one son (currently in college) came out to the screen porch and talked piping -- he is interested in trying a pipe!

For my birthday, yesterday, my son gave me a bottle of some peaty scotch, so I am pairing it with British Woods in an opal set bully.

Did a set of walking reps on this cold, windy day, and am close to finishing this bowl of year 2016 D&R Three Sails in an undated straight brush etched black Molina apple with a nickel band and a tapered black vulcanite stem. Lunch and coffee follow this smoke.

Ole favorite WCC Deluxe Crumb Cut in my workhorse Sav 626. Replaced plastic filter a balsa. My only filtered pipe. It was a nice smoke. Getting on the road and deciding what else to put a flame on.

Waking up with more 2016 Brown Sugar Flake. The second smoke through this one and the vintage Albanian briar it's made from is quite sweet/nutty. Very interesting.

I’m home alone with the cats, wife won’t be home until late tonight, and I have no particular place to go; so I’m going to have a pour of Pikesville rye with my bowl of CVP, and waste the day away watching college basketball and bowl games, between naps.

Enjoying some home blend i got from a B&M called Black Truffle. So very good. Pipe is a Savinelli Nonpereil, love the looks of this pipe but it doesnt clench very well and is a bit heavy.

Enjoyed a tasty lunch, and am almost a third of the way through this bowl of Seattle Pipe Club Deception Pass plug in a smooth straight brown late 1930s Linkman’s Dr. Grabow Deluxe Bruyere 9703B pot with a nickel accent and a black tapered vulcanite stem. Gold Star Panama, neat, is my drink.
