Ive been smoking some 2018 haunted bookshop lately as well. I find it so smooth and easy smoking compared to fresh. I like it fresh but definitely prefer it aged. Hopefully you're enjoying it also.

I couldn’t agree more, it’s mellower, richer, and sweeter to me. I can’t wait to see how the crumble kake ages.

D&R Rimboché SJ in my Savinelli Punto Oro Gold (701) Lovat with a Vulcanite stem. This has complexified with a couple years of aging. I actually got a brief whiff of ketchup on light-up from the aged Virginias before it settled into a stone fruit/figgy/smoky/woody groove. Good good good.

Did some snacking, and am close to finishing this bowl of Wilke No. 515 Double Shot in a smooth dark medium bend 2021 Peterson Heritage Brown POTY 4AB No. 45/500 military mount with a silver cap and a tapered black vulcanite AB stem. This is No. 515 with twice the rum. Ice water and bergs is my drink.

A quarter of the way through this bowl of Angler's Dream in a 2018 natural smooth medium bend Peterson 03 apple silver spigot military mount with a tapered black acrylic fish tail stem. I'll probably end the day with this smoke.

Well, sleep turned into a nap, and when I saw Daisy the Feral Princess and Tomato the Braves had no water, I filled the water bowl and fed them, too. I'm a third of the way through this bowl of Jim's Va/Bur in a black 1980 sandblasted Peterson Premiere 01 medium bend pot with a black vulcanite p-lip stem. This is the first Peterson that I bought.

Smoke #7 in the one year meer was McCranies Red Ribbon from 2012, graciously gifted by my last years secret santa @cosmicfolklore .

Without knowing how it tasted when it was fresh, this is an awesome smoke! The pop of the tin, the smell inside (hmmmm vinegar, my first experience with tobacco smelling like ketchup), the tobacco which got almost black, how it smokes (VERY slow), how it tasted, all in all a very nice experience on what a 10 year old tin could look, smell and taste like. I now can see why people stash tobacco away. Not only because of pricepoint now, legislation and availability, but also because how tobacco could change in that time.
