Shabbat Shalom, my friend.50 degrees this morning, so I had to take advantage. After our usual Shabbat breakfast of eggs, turkey bacon and buttermilk biscuits (and coffee, of course...I'd fly into a murderous rage without it), I went right outside for a bowl of Drew Estate Gatsby Luxury Flake in my Stefano Santambrogio bent Rhodesian. Wifey even kept me company w/a cigarillo. The clock is ticking though...starting Tuesday, we're getting rain every day for a week plus.
Bird report: California towhee, Oak titmouse, White-breasted nuthatch, California scrub-jay, Steller's jay, House finch, Dark-eyed junco, California thrasher, White-crowned sparrow, and Common raven. Just had a lox & bagels lunch, and preparing to get my ass kicked at Scrabble. Again.
This smoke was dedicated to my paternal grandmother, who would be 104 today.

Another bowl of Derriston(Coniston and Derringer) in a Peterson Irish Army 406( squat apple or prince) with an acrylic fishtail stem. Bourbon.
I really like the more natural finish of the Old Antiquari like versus the Sea Rock.
Stepped outside to try a bowl of St Bruno in my Kaywoodie 42 apple. The fierce wind did its best to prevent that, but I got a few promising puffs before I went back inside. A little sweetness, some solid tobacco flavors, with a little floralness on top.

Agree. My preference is the Old AntiquarI over the Sea Rock. I have thirteen Castello pipes of which includes four Old AntiquarI, two Sea Rock, and seven smooth. Keeping my open for another Old AntiquarI.

Enjoyed Christmas Eve with my family, and am home now. Ate an obscene amount of food! I have about a third of a bowl left of Mac Baren HH Burley Flake in a straight smooth dark brown 1918 Pre-Republic Peterson’s Dublin 2 apple with a silver band and a tapered black vulcanite p-lip stem. Ice water and bergs is my drink. Listening to Yours Truly, Johnny Dollar on the XM.
Country Squire Black &Tan in a Bones Arbutus Poker, so far I really like Country Squire blends, just goodness in a pipe. Ham in the oven and a beef rib roast for Christmas Day, all is well. To His
