On the day before the day before Christmas our winter freeze has let up considerably, now up to 36°F. Second “break in” smoke in this Bones poker is a half a bowl of Peretti 1072. With spiced decaf au lait.
The half poker went quick! Now deception pass as the second smoke in the new falcon meer.
Closing in on the first third of this bowl of year 2013 FVF in a 2002 three quarter bend light brown sandblasted Ardor Urano Fatta A Mano eight sided paneled shaped bulldog sitter with a black acrylic saddle stem. Enjoying some quiet reading time, and this bowl will last at least another hour.
Your first one of mine, if I remember correctly. Glad it's still getting some love.

Was expecting this week to offer plenty of time for pipes. Not so much! So a first holiday time pipe — a “Viking classic” I’ve had since the 90s long before I’d think to keep track of where I got it. (Must have been Missouri.) 2020 Cringle Flake.
I’m hoping to get to this years House Reserve and maybe a 2021 We Three Kings and a few others before the year is out. We’ll see.

Grousemoor Plug in a Peterson Deluxe B42 (really like this shape). Drinking a giant Old Fashioned with Ginger Rye and Habanero Bitters.
Just grilled steak in a blizzard on my charcoal grill, the wind helped start it quicker. Having a second round of Xmas Spice and a traditional Manhattan. Cheers mates!

A third of the way through this bowl of year 2022 Esoterica Dunbar in a smooth straight, dark brown early 1960s Lane era Charatan Selected 43 Dublin with a black vulcanite double comfort saddle stem. This pipe was formerly owned by actor William Conrad. Writing an update on how this blend has changed for my review. Check TR a little later if you're interested. Ice water and bergs is my drink.
Have some 2010 Penzance loaded up in a trusty old Savinelli Prince that sings with latakia blends. It's -3 outside, so I'll be bundled up like Nanook of the ice for this one...
A third of the way through this bowl of C&D Yorktown in a smooth medium bend 2021 Peterson POTY Terracotta 4AB No.108/500 military mount with a silver cap and a tapered black vulcanite AB stem. This should get me to dinner time. Going to clean a few pipes now.
