Closing in on the half way point of this bowl of year 2018 Sutliff Dunhill Elizabethan Match in a 1980 smooth walnut finish quarter bend Peterson 505 Rhodesian silver spigot military mount with a black vulcanite saddle stem fishtail bit. Ice water and bergs is my drink.

First try of C&D Pegasus in my MM Mini-cob. Wowzers! Definitely a where-have-you-been-all-my-life moment. I'll have to see what a full bowl is like another time, but man...this one might even dethrone my current favorite of the genre, Eight State Burley.

Bird report: California scrub-jay, California quail, California towhee, California thrasher (any guesses as to where my location is?), House finch, White-crowned sparrow, Oak Titmouse, Dark-eyed junco, White-breasted nuthatch, Spotted Towhee, and Common raven.

Happy smokes folks! Hey, that rhymes...

Took the Falcon Meer lunting for it's first smoke. The Falcon frame is from early American production, the new bowl from Turkey. As it arrived the same day, Peretti D-7485, an American blend with a bit everything including some Turkish leaf was a natural. 13 deg F and getting a bit (too) windy...!
