@Birddog66 That 1820 Flake sounds like a good clay pipe baccy...
Perhaps, I’m not a clay fan at all, don’t like the feel of it on my lips even when waxed. I also found that if they’re ghosted you can’t get rid of the taste. I have a Goede Wagon clay that was treated with a bowl cleaner and even the heaviest English blends can’t remove the taste of it.

Starting off my smoking day with this bowl from a freshly opened first production tin (2013) of Edward G. Robinson's Pipe Blend in a 2014 Basil Meadows smooth slight bend squashed tomato with an aluminum band and a black pearl acrylic stem in the military mount style.
