Even though your clay clearly has thicker walls and stem if you keep at it it'll hopefully colour more evenly like the one in front and you'll loose that two-tone look of the one in back
I should smoke it more often it look beautiful. Its a very nice collection you have , lots of antique clay ?

Rattray's Old Gowrie from 2010 in a Dunhill Shell billiard. This has more Kentucky than I remember. Maybe I'm just more sensitive to it now.
Windjammer in a Trypsis bent acorn. This particular combination of pipe and tobacco is one of my favorites. Too bad GL Pease doesn't do bulk. I'd buy this by the pound.

Community Coffee, neat, is my drink. Watching a Tim Holt western.
It may be that the Virginias have mellowed more than the Kentucky over time. I've encountered that before.
