Enjoyed a tasty lunch, and am passing the half way mark on this bowl of Wilke No. 515 in a smooth dark brown medium bend 2021 Peterson POTY 4AB No. 45/500 military mount with a silver cap and a vulcanite black tapered AB stem. This was the blend Basil Rathbone smoked. Ice water and bergs is my drink.

Match Revelation for a Christmas afternoon smoke, with duck about to go into the oven. My pipe is a Mogen Johansen, Johs, tomahawk freehand with plateau on the brim and shank, a Christmas gift from my wife in 2010. We have hours of gifts to open, because we are slow and deliberate and have to discuss and appreciate everything. It's a family tradition on both sides.

Something special for a special day, McClelland Mature Cake in the Alligator skin Longchamp. This blend actually smells like Christmas so it’s very appropriate. I only managed half the cigar but I’ll finish it before I call it a day. I don’t want to sound grinchy but when did Christmas music get so freaking lame?

Cringle Flake 21 in Savinelli 606 KS on Way to take some home cooked food to my folks. Mom still sick, but home, and dad isn’t what we’d call kitchen ready. One reason I do like to remain close to family - you can help each other out.
