It is amazing that you can be to unwell to do your regular hobbies, but still be able to enjoy your pipe, I have my bad days and good days even for pipe smoking, but the pipe is my faithful companion.

Ventured out of the bedroom (aka quarantine cell) once the fam got out of the house to walk outside a bit and I’m having a bowl of Habana Daydream. Really wanted some of that Christmas Cheer my secret Santa sent me, but I’m going to wait until my taste is fully back. Coronavirus is making my palate weird. Normally I taste the cigar leaf up front on this blend, but now the only thing I can taste is Oriental in it.
Now smoking Wilke Rum and Maple in a straight smooth with a tobacco leaf carving on the bottom left, dark brown 1980s Sir Brent pot with a tapered black vulcanite stem. Still cleaning pipes, and wondering what to smoke in them. This is always the hardest thing for me to figure out as I like to dedicate pipes to genres or specific blends. The blends I like to smoke most often already have several pipes dedicated to them. Sheesh!!!!

I’m trying C&D Derringer for the first time. Smoking it in a MM bent Rob Roy. So far I quite like it, a tangy,”salty” nose. This is one of two Virginia blends that I got in my last shipment. Looking forward to trying Yorktown too.
