Buddy of mine eons ago drove a '67 GMC pickup. Every fall he'd lay out plastic sheeting in the bed & pour about 2" of concrete in it for stability. Come spring he'd take a 12-lb sledge to it & used it to fill potholes in his driveway up to the house.I go and buy bags of top soil for weight at the end of summer. It's cheap and in the spring I can always find a use for it...
