Like my Savinelli's- so I'm uneducated- I am assuming Sav does not make tobacco blends?
Savinelli does make tobacco but this was a Savinelli pipe. The tobacco was blended by Smokers Haven. The mixture name is “Our Best Blend”
Now smoking HU Directors Cut in a smooth straight Lane era Charatan Executive Extra Large stretch apple with diagonal channel cuts on the lower right and left of the bowl along with a black vulcanite double comfort stem. This pipe was formerly owned by actor William Conrad.
Smoking some GLP JackKnife Plug in a Moretti bent billiard. Stopped by a local B&M today and grabbed a tin of that and some St. James Flake. Last 3 times I've been, I've gotten Penzance, 1792, And So to Bed and now St. James. Paying CA tobacco taxes is rich, but i should stop by more often.

On wood stove duty on this cold, cold night smoking a bowl of SG Cabbie's Mixture in a Iwan Ries (Genod) straight billiard.
I'm honestly not sure.. TR lists it as VA, burley, and Cavendish, while smoking pipes, where I got it, lists it as straight VA. There's obviously English Cavendish in the blend but I'm not sure about the rest. With a name like Kentucky Nougat, you'd think so, right? It's got some strength but not like the ropes and flakes.
Savinelli: Doblone d'Oro in a new to me GBD. I'm not one to smoke briar very often, but I'm a sucker for those Perspex stems (Thanks Al!)...

Just enjoyed my first bowl of Cornell & Diehl's Dreams of Kadath in a Savinelli 122 pot. Dark, deep, musty and fruity. I wish I had cracked this one open earlier in the fall.
GQ tobacco claims it is African grown Kentucky Dark Fired. Other sites just say VA&Cav.. still inconclusive.

Do u find that a heavy latakia blend or light on that? I ask as I have a new tin and I am not sure I should open it based on my recent initiation to latakia with Boswell Countryside. Thanks a ton.
