Near the last quarter of this bowl of year 2014 Edgeworth Ready Rubbed Match in a very much appreciated 1979 brown, slight bend grain etched flat front Stanwell Rego 969-48 (09) with a black vulcanite saddle stem. Ice water and bergs is my drink. Tomato the Brave ate well, but wanted more wet food. He came to the den to let me know it, but just the sight of Molly Danger let him know to stay in the kitchen. He went out, and Harry the Hairy wanted in, but with Molly in the den, I couldn't do that. I fed him outside to his disappointment. I gave the ferals fresh water, too, and Daisy the Feral Princess wanted food, so I fed her away from Harry. Tomato came back in to eat his favorite dry food, and when he wanted back out, I saw a sad looking Daisy staring at me. I picked her up, and brought her in to eat in peace. I have a feeling another feral ate her food. I had to break up a staring match between Harry and Tomato, who instigated it. All is peaceful now as I watch the Orioles-Red Sox game, and watching Daisy play with a refreshed catnip sock. Everybody's gone crazy over it today. At one time or another, Sleepy Suzy and Molly Danger rested their heads on it, and snoozed. The others batted it around, bunny kicked it, licked and chewed on it.

Passing the last third of this bowl of Wilke Back Bay w/o perique in a smooth brown quarter bend post-2002 Porsche Design 277-04 radiator horn Made in Holland with an aluminum cap and a tapered black acrylic stem. Watching one of my favorite episodes of M*A*S*H: the episode where Hawkeye wanted barbecue ribs. Makes me want some. Sleepy Suzy's still by my side, but she doesn't eat ribs.
Cool pipe (!!!). Never saw this M*A*S*H episode, but sort of "apropos" at the moment. Why? Now Tue evening, but kind of getting my ducks in a row for the upcoming long Holiday Weekend. About 95% of my food is my own Home Cooking. Have "reluctantly" (;)) turned down friend's invites for complicated, chaotic long Weekend plans. Am looking forward to peace & quiet around the Home Front. But will pull the trigger on ideas that I considered for long 4th of July Weekend but didn't get to, ie, a Chili's Full Rack Baby Back Rib dinner one night & an Applebee's Riblet Platter dinner another night. NOTE: Treating myself (!!!).

By Thu, I'll be cleaning pipes (as Jim periodically states, plus I enjoy cleaning pipes) that I've already earmarked for the Weekend. Kind of got tobaccos planned, mostly VaPer's & Aro's. Oh Yeah --- fun Weekend ahead. Plus, got some tasks & chores lined up, all to recognize & honor the End-of-Summer and upcoming Fall Season.

(Somber note): The solitude will be my opportunity to reflect upon & digest a shocking loss I learned of just earlier this week. I found out that one of my best, greatest, most cherished friends in my whole life passed unexpectedly on June 13 (Fri the 13th), surrounded by his family. Our friendship dates back over 40 years, with him moving from MN back to his home in IL. We became Friends like Brothers the day we met. Twice, he stood up for me in memorable ways I couldn't repay. We had email correspondence. I could write a huge touching story about him. I hadn't heard from him for a while, so I typed his name into GOOGLE & up came his obituary, a victim of Father Time & the Grim Reaper. As I think I've said before, BOY, would I like to take a baseball bat to those A-holes. It's life & we all move on.

Enjoyed a little low calorie snacking, and am smoking year 2019 C&D Yorktown in a smooth medium bend 2021 Peterson POTY Terracotta 4AB No.108/500 military mount with a silver cap and a tapered black vulcanite AB stem. Daisy the Feral Princess is laying on the catnip sock. Looks like she found a new friend.

Thanks for the kind words. I'm very sorry to hear of your loss. I've most certainly had my share of that the last ten months.

A quarter of the way through this bowl of year 2016 D&R Two Timer Gold in a 1982 smooth straight Sasieni Ivory 105 Apple with a black vulcanite saddle stem. This was my first Sasieni. Bought it at my local Tinderbox for $9.95. Daisy the Feral Princess enjoyed another bout with the catnip sock, and worked up an appetite doing so before she wanted out. I just let Harry the Hairy in since Molly Danger went to the bedroom. He got a little attention before he went to the kitchen to eat. I wonder if he'll go after the catnip sock when he comes back to the den.

Now smoking year 2014 Uhle’s 00 in a straight smooth brown post-WW2 LHS Purex Superfine 74 Canadian with a metal screw-in tenon and a tapered black vulcanite stem. I may end the day with this smoke. Tomato the Brave came in to eat, and has been bunny kicking the catnip sock. He also wanted my attention, so I doubt I'll finish reading baseball box scores tonight. Sleepy Suzy is by my side watching the li'l orange fella act like a maniac.

Some Baghdad from the old John Dengler shop (now a Lit P&C 🥲) that I picked up when in St Louis. First time ever using a clay pipe, got this Dutchman from Missouri Meerschaum on the same trip.
