Off work early, what a blessing!

Time for a break in the apple action. First dryer load about to be bagged, and another one will be sliced and dried as soon as I finish this update. Just finished a cigar, a flavoured Kwiki Grape. Very pleasant. Haven't gotten around to posting my morning smoke, and doubt I'll do so until tomorrow, cuz I'll be getting about another bushel of apples to pick today, and cutting and drying them as well. Much easier and less work than berries or cherries, but much more of them. :ROFLMAO:

Skippable Drivel: Thought I'd give you a picture of my Travel Kit #2. Prepared pics previously but haven't finished my coffee yet, so here goes:

This kit is bigger than #1, with an extra layer. The bottom layer, shown above, is the exact reverse of Kit #1, with a medium size pipe for aromatics and codgers. I use the Muxiang "Uncle Henry" for this kit. It smokes great, and likes aros and codgers, and also dotes on Sunday Picnic, for whatever bizarre and unknown reason. Get up to an hour here, depending on tobacco. The MM Minicob is for a shorter English or Balkan style English lat smoke, usually 20 - 25 minutes or so. Works perfectly.

The upper layer is great for an extra pipe or two, and a few more cigars. I use this kit on long day trips, especially if there is a two or three hour drive to the target lake or area. Nice to have an in-vehicle smoke there and back, and with this system, the full day is always ready for puffing action. Shown is what I might put in the upper layer, depending on the length of the trip. Could do a full weekend if I had to, but I don't think that's ever happened. Too much fish and game, mushrooms or wild plants,or whatever, to do when I get back home. Frankly, immediate access to this kind of thing is why I moved up here in 1998 anyways.

Note the pack of home rollies which I could add, and the fact that the film cannisters are color coded - black for lats and Balkans, and light for aros, codgers or even the occasional Oriental. Would pack the necessary pipe for any purpose in the top section, depending on what extras I want to take. The kit will even take a 9" longstem, should I so wish. Oh yeah, pipes are always put in pipesocks. Just used them flat as prop supports.

Cheers and shall return when I do. Will catch up on posting if I can. Have a great day.

Near the first third of this bowl of Legacy Collection: King’s Watch (Per Jensen) in a 1980s SMS eagle claw egg medium bend meerschaum signed by Ismail Baglan with a brown and cream swirl acrylic stem. Reviewing it, too. Dunno when it goes on sale. Daisy the Feral Princess and Tomato the Brave are inside enjoying their wet food. Harry the Hairy is in the back yard. Getting ready to watch the Braves-Marlins game with Sleepy Suzy by my side.
