Now smoking KBV Fuzzy's Dock Master in a 2003 URAL full bend big bowl egg shaped Lattice meer with a black acrylic saddle stem. Ice water and bergs is my drink.
@gord I'm glad you "recycled" that pic of your travel kit, because it reminded me to say, what a great looking kit! Are those film canisters? I love it -- great idea to neatly carry several options. Also, I'm glad you had at least a quick, but clearly fleeting, respite from the tastebud issues. That's an overall bummer.
That Mr. B's English Mix sure sounds interesting. Good luck with the apples.
Thanks so much! Just got in from picking apples . . . . still actually need a few more days. Will update that situation in tonights' post, if I can get onto the forum. Transmission is simply lousy and I got on now because this is not peak time, I suppose. Will try to catch up on prior posts if I can.
I'll be posting my second travel case tonight. Used it in my morning smoke at my picnic table. It's a bit larger, having three layers, and it is planned for use on long daytrips to lakes and areas that have maybe three to five hours driving. More time to smoke! and I'm able to include a pipe from my collection that is a "featured guest", and another cigar or two because of this extra space.
Yep, those are film canisters, and they hold a surprising amount of tobacco. Two full loadings with a Ropp J07, and up to 4 loadings with a smaller pipe, such as the Ropp J05, depending on the cut and type of tobacco. In my usual anal manner, I'm charting all of this so I know, in my backyard excursions to the picnic tables. They're great . . . . when one is in the shade, the other is in the sun, and vice versa.
Mr B's has climbed to the near top of my lat list, eclipsed only by Black Frigate and Magnum Opus. It is more similar to perhaps Nightcap than these - quite similar in fact, but a little lighter. As only BF and Mr B's are available now (others discontinued), and only Mr B's (Brigham) in Canada, and it will soon rise to 2nd place by attrition. And BF is of course expensive here (has to be ordered, with the scabrous "duties"), but I'll be able to keep it going at the current rate of consumption for a while yet. Best lat ever, imho. I'll cover all this stuff in the evening post if I can get on site.

2021 Plum Pudding in a Rossi 8122. Both have been packed away for some time. 
Back at the hotel and relaxing with some Bankside in this Murder City Pipe I got from the carver here in the St Louis area. If you're unfamiliar with his work, he's on Instagram @murdercitypipes.
The trip to Washington was good. Wife enjoyed the farmers market and antique shops. I video called my father-in-law and a friend back in TN from Missouri Meerschaum and managed a large enough purchase between all of us to net a free tin sign for the bunkhouse!
After that, we side-tripped to New Haven for Pickney Bend Distillery. If you didn't know, they make some stellar spirits with the corn from Missouri Meerschaum. Left with 2 bottles of Apple Ambush and 2 of the Rested Whiskey.
There was also a cool glass blowing shop right around the corner from Pickney Bend that took our attention for a bit. Wife got a new stemless wine glass that's as pretty as it is unique!
Supper here before too long and then off to downtown for Linkin Park.

Smoking some Deluxe Navy Rolls in a Peterson Christmas pipe after a long day at the air show. Seeing the F-22 up close is one of the coolest things I have ever experienced.
They’re real loud! Very cool man.
Now smoking year 2012 Rolando’s Own in a smooth straight 1960s Lane era “William Conrad” Charatan Executive Extra Large stretch apple with diagonal channel cuts on the lower right and left of the bowl along with a black vulcanite double comfort saddle stem. Watching the Nats-Phillies game until the Braves-Mets game starts.

I haven't smoked a bowl in over three weeks (was ill with "plumbing" problems; us old guys have prostate issues, I'm much better now). I was well enough to spend time with my ZOOM buddies this afternoon. I fully enjoyed a bowl of Samovar in my Peterson Arklow 80s, while catching up with the guys. It's good to be back.
C&D Nutty Irishman in the Morgan Bones Brandy.
When I first tried this tobacco I may have cussed it out and maybe slightly threatened the blender.
Its still pretty bad, tastes nothing like tobacco, but its tolerable enough to keep trying it.
As with the other C&D aromatic I have, Autumn Evening, it needs to be smoked very slowly. Even just a tiny push and it turns to hot ash.

Just wanted to say that while there have always been a litany of gorgeous pipes on the "What are you smoking......." threads, it really seems that lately, the members have taken it up a few notches. What a parade of stellar tobacco processing devices. While my vocabulary leaves me at a loss to describe each of them, they are truly appreciated, a feast for the eyes and a joy to behold.............
That said, this morning, after a short horseback ride, I kicked back with a nice cigar. This will sound hokie, but I literally found a "little man" who lives just south of Houston, TX. whose father escaped Castro's Cuba in the sixties and continued to make hand rolled cigars for years and passed on to his son his secrets. I buy these jewels in bundles of 25 ever so often and are some of the best smokes I have ever had. Dimensions on these maduros are 6 1/2 inches long, 52 ring circumference and are Nicaraguan puros which as many of you know means all of the tobaccos (wrapper, binder and filler) are from Nicaragua. At the risk of sounding boastful, in the 35 years of my "cigar days" I bought them all over the world (literally) and of every brand. These take a back seat to none....
Later this evening, I enjoyed some of my English blend from Columbia Briarworks, in my Barling 5276 which is a better pipe than I deserve, ha. Sparkling water to drink....
