I've been alternating between Windsail Silver and PS Luxury Twist Flake in the Vuaen Olaf bent egg this past week while battling a pinched nerve in the back. Fortunately I found an excellent experienced chiropractor (at the recommendation of a doctor!) who was able to 'remove the knife' and now I'm just sore. Apparently it was the Trapezius muscle and C-5 which is supposedly the worst. Tonight PS LTF. I love the fact that one flake (1/2 to 2/3 bowl) is good for 30-40 minutes. And the taste lasts to the very end and it goes out naturally. A perfect sipping tobacco. This will be a regular from now on.

HU Nyala in a V.F. Cherrywood Morta.

As a lover of cigar leaf blends, I've long wanted to try HU Nyala. Thanks to the most gracious @dottlejockey (a true scholar and gentleman) I now have that chance. My very first HU tobacco experience.

5 minutes in and I'm absolutely loving it. No nuanced review from me, but it's complex and balanced. Very clear cocoa note, and just the right touch of sweetness. A real winner. 🥇

Drink is dark rum 'n cola. Very muggy Texas evening. 😓

We have a fantastic Oriental Import store in Prince George, believe it or not. One of the best I've ever seen, and I lived in Vancouver for a huge part of my life. Love those wafers, but do prefer Pu-ehr to black chai. Have to go pick up some coconut wafers, now. And some black chai. Combo sounds great!
Gord,

Great to you posting again. Best of luck with your recuperation

The great thing with the Asian diaspora of the past 3-4 decades is the vast variety of Asian food available now. And not just in Oz.
A far cry from 1968 when I arrived in Sydney.

Was I ever glad for the food parcels my indulgent mother sent me every few months when I was in boarding school

Relaxing after a wonderful salad, chicken legs and green beans dinner with strawberries for dessert. I'm passing the half way mark of this bowl of year 2012 Esoterica Dunbar in a smooth straight, dark brown 1960s Lane era Charatan Selected 43 Dublin with a black vulcanite double comfort saddle stem. This pipe was formerly owned by actor William Conrad. Community Coffee, neat, is my drink. Watching the Braves-Guardians game. Sleepy Suzy is by my side as she has been all day. Molly Danger is on m'lady's lap. Tomato the Brave has been extra energetic today, and is laying by my feet after batting around various cat toys, stepping on my feet twice, and meowing for attention three times, and essentially goofballing much of the day. Daisy the Feral Princess was in to eat earlier, but wanted back out after seeing Tomato acting like a juvenile. Harry the Hairy has been in most of the day and all evening moving from playing to snoozin', playing to snoozin', and is currently staring at me like he knows that I am writing about him.
