Had a fantastic weekend up in northern Minnesota up on the Iron Range and stayed incognito from the interwebs. Had a three day stay at my cousin and her husbands house on Vermillion Lake where we drank good beer, ate amazing food, and smoked a few good cigars, and so no pipes for me even though I brought a few. On Friday my cousin in law and I went to his range where he zeroed in his 300 Win Mag and I putzed around with a Ruger AR 556 I recently picked up. A nice little entry AR for me, as well as some other guns I brought. We shot pistols as well and it was overall a pretty good range day. The wildfire smoke was still present, but not as thick as it was the day before. I drive through Duluth and the smoke was so thick that looking down on the port, while driving over the Blatnik Bridge, it looked like heavy fog.
The next day we had ate breakfast then headed out to the pontoon where we lived up boat life for five hours. Very little smoke in the air and it was in the upper 70s with some

clouds in the sky. The hotdog boat was out but there was a line so we didn’t get any, but we had a great time, even the little pupper. I didn’t realize we were about 25 miles from Canada
This morning I finishing up a bowl of G&H Curly Cut Deluxe in a Sav with a hot cup of coffee before getting chores and errands done.
