Cigar Saturday. Been aging these Hoyo De Monterrey Epicure #2s for 6 years now. Bought them in the Frankfort airport for $14 a stick. They run in the $40s here in Canada because of our insane government. I would put this cigar up against anything. So damn good with a black coffee.

Yeah, the insanity is showing it's ugly head bigtime, now, eh? Tried CigarChief's in your home province? it's got the best prices I know of in Canada, and a decent selection of good cigars. I smoke a lot of cheap Phillies Blunts (I actually like them, believe it or not) but do indulge in a more premium cigar on festive occasions. The Principes Caribbean's are pretty good (from the Reserve), and at a bit over $4 a stick is my go-to for the bottom eschelon of a real stogie.

Used to hang out at the original "Embassy" in the big "T" when I played as a member of the National Youth Orchestra of Canada . . . . . we called it the "Bloor Street Office." They began tearing it down when I eventually temporarily resided in Toronto, as a member of the "L'Esprit Canadienne", a professional orchestra dedicated to performing Contemporary Music, and also as an instructor at NYO as well.

Left because I just didn't get off on big cities . . . . just too humid and too many people for my liking. Eventually wound up in Prince George because I hunt and fish, and there ain't no better place to be for that!

Got a few pictures of the old Embassy before they replaced it with the current travesty. The pics were damaged, but I finally restored them. Will post in the near future. Gotta find them in this squalor first . . . .

Yeah it never happens when it’s nice out. Swamp cooler, heat pump or split system? Last time mine went out it was an 8 yr old Heat Pump and the indoor coil went so replaced everything at that point.
Fingers crossed 🤞 for you that it’s just a start capacitor , leak or a contact failing.
Thx, it’s a heat pump, most likely TXV. Runs but evap coil is ~33 supply and 70+ at suction.

Morning "Smoke" - sticking to my guns on the pipe fast, and am beating the tongue bite with a wad of my favourite custom "chew", 2 parts Smoker's Pride Whiskey, and 4 parts SWR, right now.

Will light up a custom "home rollie" next, as I catch up on reviewing posts, this one a "Skraggerette", made from my jar of tailings. It's pretty good, this batch anyways. Not as stellar as yesterday's English Pirate Kake -SP Whiskey Concoction, but very nice indeed.

Half way through this bowl of year 2024 Edward G. Robinson's Pipe Blend in a 2014 Basil Meadows smooth slight bend squashed tomato with an aluminum band and a black pearl acrylic stem in the military mount style. Fed Sleepy Suzy and Molly Danger. Then, I fed three ferals. Tomato the Brave was extra hungry so he got extra food before he went back outside. Ice water and bergs is my drink.

Wow, I was blown away with your comment on those cigars costing $40 in Canada. I'll agree that the HDM Epicure is a good smoke, but that is outrageous.
