I just opened a new tin of mb# Capstan Gold, to smoke in a MM Cobbler. The tobacco is quite moist, smells sour, citrusy, fresh cut grass, floral. I have to let it dry. Smells like glory. One of my most sensational pleasures, is to open a new tin of tobacco, and sink my nose in, like a hungry hunting dog, hahahahahahaha. Blessed tobacco, dammit.IMG_7651[13883].jpg

1/2 bowl of Sutliff Sweet Virginia 707 in the Pete Pub pipe with 9mm filter. Out of the bag this tobacco burned fast and hot and acrid for me. I put about 2ozs. in a disposable picnic bowl and microwaved 2x for 30secs. at 40% power. I then let it sit for three days periodically stirring it to circulate it. While some of the flavor is muted, it lights quicker, burns slower and about 90% of the acidity is gone and its less oily. Its now a tolerable smoke for me. I believe it was too moist with topping right out of the bag. I did notice however that this tobacco burns to a white ash and really builds up a carbon cake faster than any other tobacco I have tried. If I needed to break in a new pipe I would consider this for fast cake build up.

Passing the first quarter of this bowl of pre-2014 Edward G. Robinson's Pipe Blend in a 2014 Basil Meadows smooth slight bend squashed tomato with an aluminum band and a black pearl acrylic stem in the military mount style. My first set of walking reps will be rained out, but if the rain ceases, maybe I can get one set in. Just fed Sleepy Suzy and Molly Danger, who has been coming out of the bed room with more frequency after almost five months. I'll check on the ferals soon. Watching Mad Dog Russo.

How did the Dorchester age for you? Would you proffer a preference for new vs a few years?
Unfortunately I am not able to answer this question with conviction. It is true that my first tin of Dorchester was smoked fresh and this one with 3 years of age. Having said that to me it tastes about the same. I do think I may have forgotten a little on how exactly a fresh tin of Dorchester tasted.

Hah, today due to a heavy traffic jam in the metropol area we missed our ferry which left for the neighboring Estonia in time , so tomorra morning we're planning making this road once again, but prior to that an evening bowl of G& Co Broken Flake 7 in an Ashton XX pebble grain bulldog and shot glass of blended scotch whiskies& small bottle of milk stoutCIMG1457.JPG

Enjoyed a tasty lunch, and have a quarter of a bowl left of year 2020 Watch City Rouxgaroux in a smooth medium bend 2021 Peterson POTY Natural 4AB No. 6/500 military mount with a silver cap and a tapered black vulcanite AB stem. It stopped raining a couple of minutes ago, but it may start again, and as wet as it is, I'll stay inside today. Spent a bit of time traffic copping all the ferals. Daisy the Feral Peincess is snoozin' in the bathroom as she avoids Molly Danger, who is still in the den. Tomato the Brave ate plenty, and wanted to stay inside, but I had to put him out. Same goes for Abner the Eager who was laying on top of my car in the rain. I dried him off, fed him, and put him outside. Gold Star Jamaica Blue Mountain Dark Roast, neat, is my drink. Really great coffee.
