Cocktail hour. I have to admit that a good sipping Scotch in an insulated plastic glass is not far removed from a red Solo cup.
I’m having some bone dry Captain Black grape in my cob. It was a free sample my local tobacconist gave me. Not my thing but it’s not half bad.

Just opened, trying for the first time, Orlik Golden Sliced in a Dr. Grabow: Commodore 65 Zulu, dated from 1967-1969 with a vulcanite stem, metal screw-in tenon, no stinger.
This one also goes out to @hoosierpipeguy not sure you’ve smoked this? When I opened it, I was really surprised how much the flakes looked like Sir John’s, but even more amazing, the tin note is similar, that floral note Sir John’s has.
Also, it has a similar taste profile, along with that floral note, I can taste too... hmm quite odd.
I thought at first this is a casing Sir John’s had added, maybe it still has something, but this does seem like a style of VAs, but this is only the second time I’ve experienced this.
I can’t believe how First Class this blend is!

Peterson Short Army XL16 and Wilke Rum and Maple. Beautiful evening, just had everything that needed confirming come together for a short trip to South Dakota for their weekend opener in October and will hopefully find a guide for a day’s walleye fishing on Friday as well - the pups were very excited about the news (or so I claim).

I have around 10 lb cellared. One of the best aging blends I've smoked. Good day or night.
Relaxing after a wonderful salad, big wild caught catfish and sugar snap peas dinner with strawberries for dessert. I'm smoking year 2016 Peter Heinrichs Dark Strong Kentucky in an undated family era Sasieni Natural Four Dot Grosvenor smooth medium brown quarter bend bulldog with a black tapered vulcanite stem.
