No problem. Then there should be a number under that which is the production number for that pipe during that year. I'm assuming you got that pipe from SP? I remember seeing there at one point in time.
Yep, just showed up as an estate, I needed a large bowl pipe, this one is big and heavy.

It’s #47. I see his grading on his website now. I was looking at pipedia and they don't explain it.

Mega busy day ahead. To deal with the added stress I have brought out my 'three pipe' artillery set. By deploying these and several jars of tobacco I do not have to interrupt my work by getting up in search of a fresh pipe or different tobacco, not that there is much difference in anything I smoke! For the curious you are looking at three late 19th century early 20th century meerschaum 'cutty' style pipes with amber stems, silver bands, unmodified, original, as sold by the store and smoked by me pipes.
