PC Elizabethan Match in the Savinelli rusticated straight apple I won with a first place entry in the old cartoon caption contest sponsored by pipes magazine and smoking pipes dot com. I also won a Savinelli t-shirt I still have and wear regularly.

I've never subscribed to the seasonal proclivity for Va and Va/Per blends in the summer, but this year, it's happened that way. Though I may need a burley fix for the next bowl.

Thank you pipes magazine and SP for this nice pipe. It's a fine smoker, beautiful as ever.

Just opened a six year old tin of McClelland Beacon Extra. Pipe is a smooth meer brandy shape.

The tin note is pure heaven. The perique is up front and deeply fruity and the Virginias are classic McC red virginias. Letting it dry a bit. I know it'll be better after a day or two of air but I'm not waiting.

Pegasus in a Kaywoodie Silhouette billiard. Finally finished the never ending jar of Pegasus. Gonna take a little break from this blend while I do some work on a tin of MacBaren Burley London Blend. I've got plenty of Pegasus jarred up for the future. I like it best after its had some time to age, and by time I get to it, it will be extra tasty.

Half way through this bowl of year 2013 Capstan Blue Flake in a straight 1924 Dunhill’s “Shell Briar” patent pot 7 with a tapered black vulcanite stem. This will get me to dinner time. Just cleaned some pipes, and am watching the Braves-Angels game.
