Enjoyed a tasty lunch, and am half way through this bowl of year 2020 Watch City Rouxgaroux in a smooth medium bend 2021 Peterson POTY Natural 4AB No. 6/500 military mount with a silver cap and a tapered black vulcanite AB stem. Time to clean some pipes. Larry's Espresso #9, neat, is my drink.

John Cotton Double Pressed Latakia in a Bruce Weaver. I really like how the John Cotton cakes burn. The Kentucky is my favorite, this is second, Burley is third. I have not tried the double pressed Virginia. Has anyone else? Virginia’s and I don’t mix well lately but I’m curious for someone else to sample it!

I had a tin of Double Pressed Virginia, it was quite light tasting, not a lot going on.

If you really enjoy VAs, I highly recommend these to your list, if you haven’t already.

Esoterica Brighton
Former’s Cross Grain Flake
Full Virginia Flake
Hamborger Veermaster
St. James Flake
Sir John’s Flake
Solani 633
Wessex Campaign Dark Flake

P.S. I just got a tin of Orlik Golden Sliced and Former’s Bird’s Eye Flake, I’ll let you know once I try, if you’ve not smoked either.

I don’t enjoy them much, I mean I think I’m allergic but I like the taste just not the after affects, I wanted someone else to try it and you did so thanks! 😂

When I smoked Orlik GS the first time, I really liked it but over time it got less flavorful. However, that was a fresh tin. I have a one year old tin I'm gonna open soon to see how aging has changed it.

Been enjoying some briar fox recently.

As a heads up, there is Aged Burley Flake available at smokingpipes. Limit of two per day: been waiting a while to grab a tin, so if anyone is interested just doing my community service.
I got me some of that Solani :). You like Briar fox as a Burely blend? I've been on the fence on trying it.
