I bought it in Porto through an eBay like platform. I’ve seen the advert and went to buy it in person. I really love that pipe indeed.Oh man we definitely need to see more 82s shapes! Where did you get yours from?

@Birddog66 Is the old Murray's Erinmore Flake much different from the modern release?Just picked up some lovely pipes on eBay, two from 1922 and one Civic from ‘21, I look forward to to showing everyone as no one I know around here has the slightest interest in them sadly.
Anyway I’m celebrating my good fortune with some old Murray’s Erinmore Flake in this little 1901 Charles Maas “Best Make” billiard with amber stem and bone screw tenon, a gift from a very good friend. View attachment 241548

I prefer it but it’s hard to say because you’re talking about a tin with a fair bit of age on it versus a fresh one. As I never smoked it until recently I can’t compare the two fresh@Birddog66 Is the old Murray's Erinmore Flake much different from the modern release?
I think the name kept me from trying it for a long time. Likely my subconscious linked it to Gawith Firedance, which is a blackberry aromatic travesty. Also may have assumed it had something to do with "Fireball" or a cinnamon candy.2015 Firestorm in a WO Larsen
While watching EPL.
@bluegrassbrian - this Firestorm is really good stuff!
I don’t think it was ever available here, not many US blends are unfortunately due to our strict laws on curing leaf. You've only ever smoked 1 bowl of a Mcclelland product?
When did you start smoking a pipe?
Were you just not interested in them or was it the availability issue?
Where is it available? I don’t remember seeing it on Smoking Pipes, not that I can order from them again anyway.I think the name kept me from trying it for a long time. Maybe Russ had a reason for naming this blend "Firestorm", or maybe he had just been listening to Earth Crisis. (LoL).
And nowadays especially - the cost of the blends on top of shipping plus finding someone willing to do the shipping in the first place.I don’t think it was ever available here, not many US blends are unfortunately due to our strict laws on curing leaf.
Firestorm? For Russ Ouellette blends your best bet is Pipes & Cigars.Where is it available? I don’t remember seeing it on Smoking Pipes, not that I can order from them again anyway.
