Peterson 999 Short/Mac Baren Virginia No. 1 (2009). I can’t figure out how to describe it, but it’s an interesting change from the aromatics and the Virginia I tried yesterday. Very nice.

Mac Baren Va #1 is one of my favorite Va’s… Several years of age helps. I’ve got like 20 lbs of it stashed away.

Evening pipe (cut short by a deluge): McConnell's Red Virginia in my new Stanwell 224. Brilliant pipe. Absolutely in love with it. May even marry it if I feel like it. I dig the Red Virginia, too. I keep vacillating b/w thinking it is one-dimensional, but delicious...and, it is delicious and keeps surprising me. This will be in the rotation for the coming weeks.

Drink is some delicious coffee in my new Yeti mug (early birthday gift.)

I was initially a skeptic of Yeti mugs and didn't understand why everyone and their mothers had one. Now I have two.

These things are truly like a thermos (without fumbling around with the lid) and keep liquids hot or cold all day long. Now I'm a believer and enjoy the large 30oz travel mug daily.
