I may have discovered a new favorite mixture:

2015 Dunhill Elizabethan Mix with about 2in x 1in of a Padron wrapper crumbled and sprinkled in - puffing in this 'Troll Stoker' by Nate King:

How the hell does one work with a hippo tooth?
No kidding. He was certainly nuts for a challenge. He enjoyed working with organic accents like exotic woods and ivory but this is the only example of teeth I've seen. He also had a lot of fun with multi piece stems

I've seen that stem before and can't even begin to fathom the process. Just insanity. And how does one cut Lapis Lazuli with that kind of accuracy? I was a stone mason for a decade. My job was cutting rocks and that still baffles me.
I feel like "artisan pipemaker" is an understatement for some of these carvers

Early evening back to back - 2/3 bowl of Country Squire Rivendell in a Vauen Olaf bent egg (20x46 chamber)
- it didn't taste very good and burned fast and hot. I didn't notice much flavor no matter how slow I tried to smoke it --- I think I just got a bad or unmixed pinch from the bag. Second pipe was a bowl of country Squire Whatever ????? in a rinsed Savinelli Erica Fiamma 128 Billiard with new charcoal filter --- Whatever never fails to please ! Variety of tastes and strong. And ... it slow sips fine and lasts a long time --- in fact 1/2 of it is waiting for me for later and will taste as pleasant ! Good evening to all !!

Gee whiz he was a master of his craft, stunning use of accents.

Half way through this bowl of year 2018 Esoterica Dunbar in a smooth straight, dark brown early 1960s Lane era Charatan Selected 43 Dublin with a black vulcanite double comfort saddle stem. This pipe was formerly owned by actor William Conrad. Ice water and bergs is my drink. Watching the Braves-Mets game.
