Almost a third of the way through this bowl of year 2022 Mac Baren Burley London Blend in a 2001 black sandblasted three quarter bend Rinaldo Lithos YY bulldog with a tortoise shell acrylic saddle stem.

A quarter of the way through this bowl of 2021 Watch City Simply Orange Virginia in a black sandblast medium bend 2021 Peterson POTY 4AB No. 182/500 military mount with a silver cap and a tapered black vulcanite AB stem.
Windjammer in a RDPipes teapot. I bought this pipe last year, but have only just recently started breaking it in. I have three pipes from Ron and am happy with each one. 
Surely I can’t be the only one who wants to know how a living pipe legend cleans his pipes…
A quarter of a bowl left of Wilke No. 515 in a smooth dark medium bend 2021 Peterson Heritage Brown POTY 4AB No. 45/500 military mount with a silver cap and a tapered black vulcanite AB stem. This was the blend Basil Rathbone smoked.
The same way everybody else does, I guess. I doubt I'm doing anything special.
Spent a little time with my ZOOM buddies, and then went to our Chicago Pipe Club meeting at Arlington Pipe and Cigar Lounge. It was great to see all the members again and share a bowl. I smoked "Dino's Mixture" (Full Virginia Flake, University Flake, some 50+ year old Mahalla and Latakia, and a pinch of Samovar and Syrian Latakia) in one of my father's old pipes, a 1940s-50s Made in England Victoria Court, Lovat shape, and an excellent smoker.
A great time was had by all.

Last smoke of the day is Angler's Dream in a 2018 natural smooth medium bend Peterson 03 apple silver spigot military mount with a tapered black acrylic fish tail stem. Just fed two ferals, and am reading baseball box scores while this bowl lasts.
Probably my last smoke for the day as I settle in for the evening. It’s Royal Yacht in a Neerup and I’ve cracked a new bottle of Woodford Double Oaked to have alongside.

Morning pipe: Chenet’s Cake in my bones bent apple. I let it dry out in the pipe over night and the retrohale is wicked spicy.
I smoke Mac Baren 7 seas regular blend at night on the balcony of my house. He gets better every time.

Just popped opened a tin of Grousemoor since I am on holiday in Finland until the end of August. I must say Finnish society certainly has a lot going for it. Tall blondes with legs to die for, deep blue eyes and that's just the women! I amazed at the endless supply of salmon, new potatoes and other interesting things to eat. I have yet to meet another pipe smoker here in Hanko although I did chance upon one in Helsinki and it goes without saying B&M's do not exist. Luckily for me and my Finnish friend I stocked up with a 2 week supply of Gawith tins so everything should be wonderful. Next stop London!
