I borrowed the glove I used. It was a Johnny Bench model, and being a fan of his, I was happy to use it.Ref jiminks subbing as a catcher, it seems the best catchers are often short or at least not rangy/tall, because playing that position is hell on your hip joints and knees, and the leverage is less if you don't have long legs. It's still a lot of stress on the cartilage, but not quite as destructive. Upper body strength helps you throw hard and fast from a squat position. It's definitely a specialty. So, jiminks, did you have your own catcher's mitt or did you borrow?
I smoke C&D Three Friars for it's condimental portion of burleys added to va's and perique. A year or so I ordered a few pounds of PS 41(Cube Cut) to my cellar to add some burley/va to my cellar, but for the life of me that stuff torches my tongue no matter how carefully I sip it. The Three Friars never does that. I've tried PS41 fresh, aged, dry and I suffer.Well the rugby is over and the sun/daylight has arrived but it’s raining and will do so all day I’d say. Just filled this Poul Winslow pot which is a limited edition and numbered with this one being number 80. This pipe is just a great smoker, never fails and I’ve filled it with a delicious and uncomplicated smoke, Stokkebye’s Cube Cut. Heading out the the workshop now to get out of the house and away from the TV.

The KOs by Tyson Nam and Josh Quinlan were awesome! Two of my blends, "Sweet Tooth" (Long cut VA, Cav, Perique, marinated in Cognac and aged 1 year) in a 1910-1920 bent Frenchy and "Isle of Man" (Red VA, Aged Maduro, Orientals, 10% Latakia, also marinated in Cognac and aged 1 year) in a 1950s Barclay-Rex Cutty.
A 2-pipe night as I toggle back and forth between boxing and UFC!
