Enjoyed a big slice of freshly made Boston cream pie, and smoked a bowl of Wesley’s No.58 Perique Navy Cut in a 2021 medium bend black sandblasted Peterson Newgrange 80S bent bulldog silver spigot with a tapered reddish brown with black stripes acrylic stem.

Just passing the quarter mark on this bowl of year 2016 McClelland Christmas Cheer in a 1980 Stanwell 668 medium bend with a multi-colored ferrule, half black sandblasted, half brown smooth, rough top with a black vulcanite stem. Forgot I had this sample, and I've enough for one more bowl. Haven't smoked this dedicated to red Virginia pipe in a long time, but for about thirty-some years, it was a daily experience.

Located this H. Simmons 'Down the Road Mixture' down in the basement for a friend to try and thought I'd refresh my memory with a bowl. Very mild Latakia mixture with a malty Virginia nose. Enjoying it in a lower-tier Leeds era Ben Wade bulldog with silveroid mount and orific stem.

Enjoyed a tasty golden delicious apple, and am almost half way through this bowl of Wilke No. 515 in a smooth dark medium bend 2021 Peterson Heritage Brown POTY 4AB No. 45/500 military mount with a silver cap and a tapered black vulcanite AB stem. This was the blend Basil Rathbone smoked. Watching the Twins-Dodgers game.

HawkeyeLinus, I just got my Summer issue of the BSJ, and enjoyed an Arturo Fuente Short Story (with a wee dram of The Macallan 12), as I read the excellent article about Jay Finley Christ, by Nick Utechin
I'm still waiting for them to publish my article on a particular Watsonian tobacco. Stay tuned.
