So last night at dinner I asked my 5 year old daughter what we should do today. Her response, emphatic as ever, “erm, smoke some pipes I guess papi”.

there’s no way I’m letting her down, so I decided to pull out this big boy from 1895 and load up with SG#4 - photoed next to what size pipes I’m used to smoking at work.

Good night folks!!! after the magnificent dinner with the family to finish this important day in my life, it's not every day you turn half a century, we are going to enjoy a movie with the family, we haven't decided yet.

I had planned to release a pipe but it is still on the way, it has not arrived, so I will have to wait a little, but as it seems that there is no happy birthday without "breaking" a pipe, I did not know which one to choose for the occasion of a few that I have without "breaking", I decided to give the choice to my wife and daughter, curiously, both, separately, chose the same ... they are very "synchronized" ... that almost scares me a little ....

As far back as 1861 the firm carried off a prize medal for the excellence of their manufacture at the famous Hyde Park Exhibition. The stocks of this special class are exceedingly large and varied, including unprepared and prepared pipes, glazed gems, patent washed, goose bone, and silver and amber mounted. Another leading feature with this noted house is their London-made briar pipes, known everywhere in the trade as the A.D.P. brand, each pipe being guaranteed against burning or cracking. They are kept in stock in upwards of three hundred shapes, many of which are very novel and attractive. They are made with amber, ambroide, vulcanite, or horn mouthpieces, and are also tastefully mounted in silver and put in neat cases. Great care is exercised in the selection of the wood and other materials, and the workmanship throughout is of a superior and high-class kind, only skilled and experienced workmen being employed. This house is well known as carrying the largest and most complete stock of pipes of all descriptions and tobacconists’ fancy goods, all of which have been selected from the best makers with much judgment and knowledge of the requirements of the trade.
