Let's try again. Incidentally, I may start a thread on Father Goose as another pipe movie. The director showed the passage of time by having Trevor Howard smoking a different pipe every time he got on the radio to Cary Grant.

Afternoon smoke - scrunched coins of Escudo in a 1992 Loewe spigot pot. Les Wood silver work.
With a nip of 1991 Lagavulin Distillers Edition - finished in Pedro Ximenes casks. This edition is nicely judged - the PX cask rounding the edges and just softening the iodine peat character, without imposing any sweetness, as was the case with a previous edition.image.jpg

Half way through this bowl of Pfeifen Huber Virginia Golden Flake in a straight smooth brown post-WWII Comoy’s Grand Slam billiard 27 Canadian patent 341422 with a tapered black vulcanite stem.

Have always been curious about this blend. How does it compare to Reiner 71 or Orlik Golden? Cheers.
