Solani 633 Virginia Flake with Perique with 20 years of age bought from Pipestud. The flakes were stuck together and needed some re-hydration. This is sublime even after restoration. One of the greats.

A minute or two away from smoking year 2015 D&R A.B. Rimboche in a 2018 smooth straight flame grain Basil Meadows Merchant Service "Bing" replica with an aluminum band and black ebonite stem. Going to work now.

Afternoon smoke - scrunched coins of Escudo in a 1992 Loewe spigot pot. Les Wood silver work.
With a nip of 1991 Lagavulin Distillers Edition - finished in Pedro Ximenes casks. This edition is nicely judged - the PX cask rounding the edges and just softening the iodine peat character, without imposing any sweetness, as was the case with a previous edition.

Just fired up a new to me blasted Askwith bent billiard filled with some Squadron Leader, both from fellow member @grumpyoltroll , alongside glass #2 of Kentucky Owl Confiscated Bourbon. Dang this is a nice pipe! The stem is perfect.

Have always been curious about this blend. How does it compare to Reiner 71 or Orlik Golden? Cheers.

I smoked a lot of Captain Black Gold today in a Rossi Vittoria Straight Dublin, a Brigham Voyageur Straight Rhodesian, and a Crown Garden Red Oom Paul. I got a bulk order and went to town. I hadn't had any in about a month.
