Relaxing after a wonderful salad, red snapper and green beans dinner with strawberries for dessert. I'm not far from finishing this bowl of year 2018 Esoterica Dunbar in a smooth straight, dark brown early 1960s Lane era Charatan Selected 43 Dublin with a black vulcanite double comfort saddle stem. This pipe was formerly owned by actor William Conrad. Community Coffee, neat, is my drink. Watching the White Sox-Rays game.

I was watching a Grand Tour program today with Jeremy Clarkson. Clarkson was driving a big fat old Lincoln, driving thru Scotland, ragging on Conrad. Some reason he thought Conrad drove a Continental on Cannon. I don’t remember. Fun episode.

Cool morning in the desert, perfect for a smoke of my own blend: 2 parts C&D Mocha, 1.75 part 1Q, 0.25 Frosty Mint. In this S. Eversson designed Stanwell 91 it simply sings. Frosty Mint, when used in homeopathic small doses in other blends, is a good friend indeed.

A blend of my own mixing: 50/50 Sutliff Crumble Kake Red Virginia and Crumble Kake Virginia Perique. Perfection, in my estimation. Enjoying a tall bowl in my Ed Burak Featherweight Stacked Egg.

Cool! This was my first serious pipe purchase after one basket pipe getting started. I have around twenty now, but this guy is special and still a favorite. It somehow has a knack for staying lit. The deep, narrow bowl lends itself to more straightforward blends like VaPers and straight VAs. I’m no engineer, but my theory is one reason it smokes so absolutely well is because it wasn’t designed for using a filter, just uninterrupted air/smoke travel. I recommend finding one and buying the hell out of it. Cheers!
