About a quarter of a bowl left of Edward G. Robinson's Pipe Blend in a 2014 Basil Meadows smooth slight bend squashed tomato with an aluminum band and a black pearl acrylic stem in the military mount style. Just got a bunch of "hate mail!" Going to open the packages as soon as I post this smoke.

Now smoking Uhle’s 00 in a smooth medium bend 2002 Peterson Sherlock Holmes Series Milverton with a sterling silver band and a black vulcanite p-lip stem. A friend sent this to me wondering the formula was changed. I'm just getting into this smoke, but it does seem a little different. I'll see how it goes. Time to do my first set of walking reps.

Just finished my first-ever bowl of McClelland Domincan Glory Maduro in my MM Diplomat as I'm finally getting to my 2019 taxes. I've had it in a jar since 2017 and decided to give it a try today. It was really great. I was able to snag a tin just after they announced they were closing up, glad I did. First time trying a cigar leaf blend as well, definitely a fan.

What a lovely BBB! I'm curious about the button/slot. I don't believe I've seen one like that before on a BBB (or maybe it's just the angle).
A closer look at the BBB slot compared to the slot on a W-H pipe dated to 1882 and another BBB dated to 1890:-

In my limited experience button apertures are much more often seen than slot apertures on pipes of this period and that situation doesn't appear to have changed until well into the 20th Cent. when slots completely took over.
