Had to break open my clay pipe again today as one of the decorators asked me to show it them. Another (an old friend) asked me if he could smoke it so I gave him a pipeful of St. Bruno Ready Rubbed and let him borrow my Cavalier hat as I told him he wouldn't look / feel right smoking my clay pipe without a hat on (Lace Wars advice).
He said he liked it better than smoking cigarettes!
I finished my packet of St. Bruno on my country walk and I'm not buying any more pipe baccy for now; not smoking any more until I receive my parcels from Condorlover1!
It's back in the safe now and I'm not smoking it tomorrow!

Half way through this bowl of Sutliff Prince Andrew in a 2020 smooth light brown, slight bent J. Everett straight grain chubby author with a spalted birch ferrule and a black saddle vulcanite stem in the military mount style. Got all my walking done for the day.

Plum Pudding in a cob again. I'm trying to beat this tobacco into submission. I rubbed it out much finer than normal and let it dry a couple of hours. I dropped a small stone in the bottom to help the fine tobacco not clog the air hole. All in all this was my best attempt to get this to smoke so far without excessive relights. I do love it so though and have a lot of it stored away, so I have to win this fight.

Twenty minutes to dinner time, and this should get me there: D&R Penhooker Silver in the third pipe I ever bought ($1.95), a 1974 smooth straight French briar Hadley Apple with a black vulcanite tapered stem. Fast burning tobacco, small bowl. Watching the Braves-Jays game.
