St. Bruno: Ready Rubbed in a Falcon with a Meer bowl...
Rts0n37.jpg
I've smoked some St. Bruno Ready Rubbed in my clay pipes in the last month or so and I really like it - haven't tried the flake yet!
Now to get a clay pipe of baccy down my throat before going to bed!!!

Been to the churchyard again today and uploaded a new video:
Smoked some
Peter Stokkebye: PS41 Cube Cut
in my Marcus Fohr clay pipe.
Just had a smoke of
MAC BAREN - VIRGINIA NO.1 READY RUBBED
This is a pleasant sweet tasting pipe tobacco and I really enjoyed this blend in my clay. Some have said it burns hot but when smoked slowly it brings the flavours out more and I was surprised to find how flavoursome it was with a pleasant aftertaste.
Downed a clay pipe of MacBaren followed by a more relaxed slow smoke!

Regarding the classic 'Dublin' briar pipe shape (with or without spur): it's reasonable to assume that the early 'Dublin' shape from say the 1880s was directly inspired by the slightly earlier clay 'Cutty' pipes (or 'Dudheen' as they were known in Ireland) favoured by the Irish workers as they migrated en masse to England and elsewhere in the 1840s and 1850s.
