Not far from finishing this bowl of D&R Raccoon’s Friend in the very first pipe I ever bought ($2.49) in 1974; a smooth three quarter bend Dr. Grabow Omega with a black vulcanite stem. Just finished work.

Did some snacking, fed the cats, and am enjoying my last smoke of the day: year 1999 Edgeworth Ready Rubbed in a 2015 Basil Meadows black sandblasted billiard with an aluminum band and a pearl red acrylic tapered stem.

Yesterday, as I was walking out to my garage, pipe in hand, my daughter asked, "Is it stinky time?" Then I loaded my pipe with Tuskegee Airman from C&D. I rarely smoke blends with latakia, since I don't like the taste. When I came back into the house, my daughter said, "WOW! YOU REALLY ARE STINKY!"

Both excellent choices. Marzen is the most underrated style of lager out there. It pains me that they are usually only available here during the fall because of their association with Oktoberfest. It's a bummer. I really like the bavarian marzen's, but there are a couple good options being made here in the us now as well, particularly Sierra Nevada Oktoberfest, which is usually a collaboration with a german brewery. I am not generally a fan of Sam Adams, but their Octoberfest is actually a very nice beer as well.
Used to love marzens. Great warm weather beers

Just finished smoking old Edward G. Robinson's Pipe Blend in a 2014 Basil Meadows smooth slight bend squashed tomato with an aluminum band and a black pearl acrylic stem in the military mount style.

Part way through this bowl of Smoker’s Pride Mellow Taste in a smooth straight pre-transition Barling 313 T.V.F. EXEXEL pot with a black ebonite saddle stem. A bottle of Mountain Dew made with pure cane sugar is my drink. Watching the Red Sox-Yankees game.

A quarter of the way through this bowl of Condor RR in a 2002 IMP smooth full bend egg shaped meer with a black acrylic stem.

I don't usually smoke the same thing twice in a row, but I went back for another bowl of Brigadier Black Waterloo in my MM hardwood. One of my favorite aromatics.
