Chestnut in a MM Country Gent. I suppose this is one of those blends that's potentially up on the chopping block due to the new FDA restrictions. I'm pretty sad about that. I've never tried the original Walnut. So, I can't judge it in comparison, but on it's own merits, I think it's the most successful of Russ' Mid-Town blends. It's a completely non-challenging and easy smoke (as are all the blends in the series), but there's a lot interplay between the tobaccos that add subtle complexity to the blend. If the idea of a mild English/American blend with some nuance appeals to you at all, I highly recommend that you give it a try while you still have the chance.

Prince Albert in a 320 KS Savinelli Spring.
Summer's almost over in the Pacific Northwest, which for me means more pipes and fewer cigars.

This pipe arrived in barely smoked condition and performs like a well made pipe should.

Curly Block in a Morgan Cob. Just done 1 1/2 days of furniture moving & building plus clearing gardens & sheds. My children and grandchildren helped and the dog created noise and got under feet. It's been like a scene from Dickens, with real Cockney and bad language to match! I am grateful.
