Peterson 3Ps sliced, rubbed out, and run through a blender is the leaf. The pipe is late 1920s-early 1930s Yello Bole panel apple with a stem that I had to reshape after breakage. I won’t be coming for @georged ’s custom in his lifetime or mine, but the stem is comfortable and functional.

3Ps is one of the few smokes that gets markedly better for me the closer it gets to the end. The burley comes out more clearly, as does a pleasant perfume-y quality.IMG_4328.jpeg

A third of a bowl left of year 2024 Edward G. Robinson's Pipe Blend in a 2014 Basil Meadows smooth slight bend squashed tomato with an aluminum band and a black pearl acrylic stem in the military mount style. I fed all the cats except for the absent Abner the Eager. The skies are dark and cloudy, and if it rains like my local "inaccu-weather" says it will, I may not see him for a while. Ice water and bergs is my drink.

Did a set of walking reps, and smoked a bowl of year 2016 D&R Three Sails in a slight bent black pattern etched 1977 Lorenzo Lorsan Sigma level top billiard with a gray swirl acrylic saddle stem. It's time for a major off diet day. Watching the Red Sox-Mariners game.

Got my last delivery of tobacco until the summer. Lord knows I've got enough now to keep me going for years! Time to settle down and get to the next step in learning to smoke a pipe. Actually reminds me of the old music days in senior high and the first year of university - I'd go out and buy all the music I could, most of it a bit of a stretch, and spent years afterwards learning it when I knew what I was doing! 😁 cray

This morning's smoke was part of this learning procedure, but in smokin' pipe mode. I loaded my latest pipe, the now broken in and marvellous little Peterson Dublin, and the tobacco was the long awaited H&H Magnum Opus. I wish I could tell you more about the model number of the Pete, but it's not readable (even reversing an slr lens and using it as a magnifying glass - try it! Works great!. The stamped writing is simply too faint and blurred.

Absolutely terrific tobacco and perfect combination with the pipe. I've observed that I very much favour tobaccos with a strong Virginia and Oriental component, the so called "Balkans." With or without Lat. I'll do the lat thing in this pipe, and the without in another pipe which I'll try out soon. Update when it all happens.

Also I'll keep on photographing the pipes and accoutrements over the drying out tobacco leaves from my thriving Oriental plants, so you can keep track of their progress.

Thank you to everyone for the b-day wishes. I'll have full pipe and bird reports by the end of the day. Anything less would be conduct unbecoming of a millennial codger. 😃

There must be some kind of penalty for that... 🤣
So it’s your 40th bird-day?rotf

Oh, and I think he penalty for conduct unbecoming a codger is to have the hose turned on you like kids on an old man’s lawn.:ROFLMAO:
