I greatly thank you for the very kind post, man. It means a lot to me.Jimlnks:
"That's a fake post you posted. I never once have mentioned vaping in a post. I have never done that or used a nicotine patch.
Here is the actual post. You should be ashamed of yourself for trying to impugn anybody's reputation for the sake of spam.
I reported him, and I hope you and others will as well."
Jim ... not to come off as a sycophant, but you're a Living Legend, the Godfather on this forum. And I say that with confidence that I'm probably just a "tad" older that you. To think that anybody would impugn your integrity or cast aspirations, well, I'd not only be willing to report him, but also look him up with Torches & Pitchforks (!!!).
NOTE: If I could set aside all your fascinating, detailed tobacco commentary ... all your detailed descriptions of your various pipes ... and all your fascinating commentary on "Cat Life" around your home ... I'd follow your writings just to read your cuisine intake.

That’s a beauty! I’ve been eyeing them on SP for awhile now. I see one in my future.
Lovely hunk of briar. The green stem is wonderful as well.

Sadly no. Pileated are more prevalent in Canada and the eastern half of the US. They do show up in the Pacific Northwest as well, but outside of the northernmost reaches of California and some parts of the Sierra Nevadas, they are uncommon, especially this far south. But should I see one, believe me...you'll be the first to know! But I'll probably sooner see the Canucks hoist the Stanley Cup...Just saw a Pileated Woodpecker up here recently, and we have lots of flickers . . . . seen any Pileated peckers there recently? I remember as a boy actually seeing an Ivory Bill once on a family vacation. Mom was a birder and knew instantly what it was. . . . very very rare back then, probably extinct now. Enjoy reading your bird reports.![]()
Yeah, that would do it. I'd love to have tried Carter Hall but it wasn't available to me. My original mix was 7:3 Captain Black Dark, and Captain Black Cherry. Pretty close to the original proportions. The Captain Black Dark is pure cavendish, and would be a bit smoother than the Carter which is mostly burley, and that would probably burn a bit quicker, but it'll still make a nice mix. Thanks for giving it a shot!@gord I saw a post you made (couldn't find it) & mixed 50/50 Captain Black Cherry & Carter Hall . It eliminated the initial syrupy sweetness & made for a very pleasant smoke . In a pretty Carey :
