I'm half way through this bowl of year 2019 C&D Yorktown in a smooth medium bend 2021 Peterson POTY Terracotta 4AB No.108/500 military mount with a silver cap and a tapered black vulcanite AB stem. Two of David's estate pipes are getting their first S&A treatment. Two are drying, and hopefully will be ready to smoke. Another still needs some bowl reaming and sanding. Sleepy Suzy was waiting in my chair for me to sit with her, which I am now. Molly Danger is in the kitchen eating.

Passing the quarter mark of this bowl of Wilke Pickett’s Charge in a post-WW2 straight smooth brown pre-Republic Peterson’s Dublin 3 bulldog with a nickel band and a tapered black vulcanite p-lip stem. Watching an episode of Nova.

First time try of C&D House Reserve (the first one) in a Savinelli Mattone 614 faux-Hungarian. Definitely a where-have-you-been-all-my-life type smoke! A perfect way to cap a day featuring yet another record high for gold, and yes, I know I still have to crack that tin of Gold Rush to celebrate 3k. Hopefully I'll get around to it before it hits 4k, but don't count on it; I'm a master procrastinator! I'll explain why later. 9/10

Bird report: White-crowned sparrow, Dark-eyed junco, House finch, California towhee, California scrub-jay, Steller's jay, American crow, Red-tailed hawk, Western bluebird, Mountain chickadee, California quail, Hairy woodpecker, Northern flicker, White-breasted nuthatch, Oak titmouse, American robin, and Spotted towhee.

Salmon on the docket for tonight, plus as much hametz as I can wolf down before sundown on Saturday. 🍞

Half way through this bowl of Wilke Little Round Top in an undated straight smooth brown pre-Republic Peterson’s Sterling bulldog 150 with a sterling silver band and a black vulcanite saddle p-lip stem. Ice water and bergs is my drink. Did a little bowl scraping, and fed Tomato the Brave and Sleepy Suzy. Tomato's snoozin' on the couch. The Braves-Philles game is on again, 1-1 in the bottom of the 8th inning.

Just finished smoking year 2014 Edgeworth Ready Rubbed Match in a 2003 black sandblasted medium bend Karl Erik Ekstravagant scoop with a horn ferrule and black acrylic stem. Daisy the Feral Princess and Harry the Hairy have gone in and out twice in the past hour. Tomato the Brave is still snoozin' on the couch.

I've passed the first third of this bowl of Wilke No. 515 in a smooth dark medium bend 2021 Peterson Heritage Brown POTY 4AB No. 45/500 military mount with a silver cap and a tapered black vulcanite AB stem. Since my last post, Daisy the Feral Princess has been in and out again. She didn't used to do this, but lately, she's been doing this more often than an In-N-Out Burger. :)

Spring is really kicking off here, early potatoes coming up and peas and beans , onion sets, strawberries and cabbages all demanding room to be bedded out and weeds to be got rid of first - so little time for just sitting and smoking (the only way I can enjoy a pipe). Or to read the forums, for that matter. This is my last smoke from two days ago: GH Black Irish X in the venerable Rhodesian Meer.Smoke110425.jpg

First I had a bowl each of Artisan’s Blend and C&D Chopped Cigar Leaf in the BriarWorks black sandblast bent pot with saddle stem, and then a bowl of not pictured SG brown twist no. 4 rope, followed by more Artisa’s blend, in the BriarWorks Cannonball.
