Interesting tamp! Is there a story with it?
Chris Morgan had some on his sight.
It’s a Copper & Damascus Steel Alloy. I dig tampers that can ride in a pocket without worry and are kinda indestructible so I grabbed one with a recent Bones purchase.
They have some heft and feel good in hand. Hopefully he’ll make another batch as he’s about out of them.

Sutliff #245 ZBC in my Cascadia Backpacker... Definitely picked the wrong pipe for this one lol. My first time trying it even tho I snorfed a couple lbs based solely on the description 😅

It's actually a very interesting tobacco... I think I may do a review after a few more bowls. It's one that can still be had, as well. Such a coarse cut, it feels like I'm packing my bowl with dark chocolate moonrocks lol

A third of the way through this bowl of Wilke No. 515 in a 1998 smooth straight Butz-Choquin Bistro 1501 pot with a black vulcanite saddle stem. This was the original 515 that Basil Rathbone smoked. Ice water and bergs is my drink. Molly Danger is batting and chasing cat toys around the den. Sleepy Suzy is by my side watching Molly being goofy.

Starting off Apr's WAYS ... (after 2 days) ... with some "Aged Stonehaven", nicely dried & with a small pinch of Perique added. Stonehaven's well regarded & I'm fortunate to have some in the cellar. Like most reviews say, it's rich, doesn't bite & is a real luxury.
I liked all the pics in Mar's WAYS of meers with a spigot look, or military.

Did some low calorie snacking, and am almost a third of the way through this bowl of well aged 4Noggins Bald Headed Teacher in a medium brown, smooth octagonal paneled bowl and shank, medium bend 2016 Tim West Book Keeper 6 with a black acrylic saddle stem. The shape was designed by my great friend, the late Art Arterburn, and gifted to me by him. Watching Asia on BBC America. They have many of the best nature programs on TV. Some minutes ago, I let Daisy the Feral Princess and Tomato the Brave in to eat. I fed Harry the Hairy outside to avoid conflict. After they ate, they came into the den and just walked around. Tomato went down the hall, and was chased back to the den by an aggressive Molly Danger. She scared both ferals, so m'lady got up and let them out. I guess after a year being terrified by them, Sam the Scamp and her scampers, Harry the Hairy and Abner the Eager, me bringing Molly to the front has emboldened her. She's on m'lady's lap now. Sleepy Suzy is still by my side. Tracking tells us that Abner continually goes around the neighborhood. He's more of a Travelng Man than Ricky Nelson was.

Half way through this bowl of year 2020 D&R Penhooker Silver in a straight smooth brown undated pre-Republic Peterson Shamrock 263 Canadian with a nickel band and a tapered black p-lip stem. Been cleaning estate pipes. Seventeen are clean including the two stubborn ones I've been working on. Another isn't far away, so I'm starting on three others, one of which is getting the Kosher salt and alcohol treatment. It'll need more than one of those. Six of the seventeen are on active duty.

A nightcap of Half and Half in a beautifully colored Bertram 25 small Pear.

All Bertram pipes wee made from unstained, unvarnished and unpainted tan oil cured Algerian briar. Smoke one enough and this is the oxblood color they’ll turn, and they smoke better the more they are smoked.

Plus, Bertram hired crippled soldiers to make them.
