A little further along with my C&D Bayou Night smoke, I'd just like to add what a pleasant full-flavored strong blend this is, without bite or harshness. It also burns evenly and without many relights. It's sold in bulk, so you can sample it without committing to a tin.

I don't own a clay, but you made me curious. What clay would you use for ODF? Maybe something from Old Dominion/Missouri Meerschaum?
P.S.: It is indeed delicious!
@daniel7 I recommend the Old Dominion clays; I also own Pollock & Markus Fohr pipes.
This is my pipe of choice for living history re-enactment:
I like the Williamsburg pipe as well but don't own one.

The rain let up, and I did a set of walking reps in the high humidity. Smoked a bowl of year 2016 D&R Three Sails in an undated straight brush etched black Molina apple with a nickel band and a tapered black vulcanite stem. It's time for lunch!
