Just finished work for the day, and this bowl of year 2018 Mac Baren Acadian Perique in a straight smooth brown 1933-36 KBB Yello-Bole Honey Cured Briar 2384 Acorn with a tapered yellow rock ambra stem.
Nearing the last third of this bowl of Prince Albert in a straight smooth walnut 1927 KBB Kaywoodie Drinkless 86 dublin with a tapered black vulcanite stem. This model was only made in 1927. Fed Daisy the Feral Princess and Tomato the Brave.
Up early this morning at 4:00 am and smoking some Schwab's Paul's Stuff in a very nice estate Bacchus carved meerschaum that I got in the mail from Mars Cigar and Pipes yesterday. The only thing I dislike about this new meerschaum is that the stem is not of high quality and seems to be added only as an afterthought. Does anyone know of a good pipe repair person who works with meerschaum pipes? I have had some bad experiences with having meerschaums worked on with two other repairmen in the past. One of them actually shattered the shank of one of my pipes and glued it together and added a nickel band. At least they didn't charge me for it. It was an old Barling meerschaum billiard.
Half way through this bowl of Wilke No. 515 in a 1998 smooth straight Butz-Choquin Bistro 1501 pot with a black vulcanite saddle stem. This was the original 515 that Basil Rathbone smoked. I may end the day with this smoke.
Good morning. Smoking the second third of mb virginia flake, in a MM Charles Cobbler. A pleasantly cloudy and cool day today, with 68 °F. Next week will practically be like the start of summer, with temperatures between 87.8°F and 96.8°F. In addition, we are experiencing the most severe drought in decades. Fortunately, in a nearby coastal town, we have an industrial desalination plant for sea water. I wish you a happy Saturday.
