Haunted Bookshop in a clay. Warm, sunny day.View attachment 215418
@Carol Nice pipe; sounds like you had a good day. We've had wind & rain here today - the tail end of a hurricane. Shame I couldn't have had a clay with you! How many clays have you got?
Do you recommend the Haunted Bookshop for the King's clay?
I'll have to try some when I order from Smokingpipes again but I'd really like to try the Sillem's Musketeer in my clays, as I love the tin art!
Need to get some C&D Yorktown when I go to see Redcoats & Revolutionaries this year; I really enjoyed having my clay pipe lit from the blacksmith's forge!
Dad calls the Redcoats & Revolutionaries blacksmith 'the pipe lighter':)

Was just reading about this blend and ordered a few tins, I hear it’s got some similarities to the original Three Nuns?
Honestly, I’ve got no clue. I’m a newbie with a palate of a goat. Well, a few months in my goat palate knows which things I don’t like…
I’ve never had the original, so what you’ve heard is better than my guess😉

First time in months it's been over 65. Taking full advantage, with WCC Rouxgaroux (thank you to @TheIronMonkey for both pipe and sample!) in a Foyard Beechwood Rhodesian. Of course it's going to get bitterly cold again in no time, but I'm just going to enjoy this respite whilst I can.

Bird report: California scrub-jay, Dark-eyed junco, Steller's jay, White-crowned sparrow, Oak titmouse, Common raven, American robin (spring has indeed sprung!), House finch, White-breasted nuthatch, and California towhee.

First decent sleep I've gotten in weeks. I'll drink to that! 🍾
