I have only had 3-4 smokes in this and the chamber is not yet fully carbonised.
Compared to the bowl I had last week in a well-seasoned briar, there is a district earthy, clayey taste to this smoke.
@aspiring_sage Yes a rope lighter would be perfect for the English Civil War period as they used match cord for lighting the muskets - and their clays!I see. This is one of the things keeping me from making a video tutorial on how to use a rope lighter with pipe.
I’ve told my folks that I smoke a pipe, but it feels disrespectful to let them see it, or any evidence of it. Strange?
