Relaxing after a wonderful salad, chicken legs and sugar snap peas dinner with strawberries for dessert. I've a third of a bowl left of Pfeifen Huber Virginia Golden Flake in a 1938 smooth straight brown patent Dunhill R 115 bowling ball apple with a tapered cumberland stem. Watching the Braves-Marlins game.

Very interesting about the Bill Finger Award. Thanks for sharing.
You're very welcome. The Bill Finger story is a long one of lack of money and credit for being the major creator of Batman. I, along with a few others, spent years working to get Finger some due for his achievements. Bob Kane did everything he could to diminish, ignore, and most certainly lie about the facts of Batman's creation. It wasn't until 2015 that DC and the Kane estate yielded to pressure, and gave Finger credit on everything related to Batman. Even then, instead of full credit, the representation reads "Batman created by Bob Kane with Bill Finger". A few times somebody at DC posted it as "Batman created created by Bob Kane and Bill Finger". I still hope for the latter to be a permanent across the board change. Finger, who died broke, alone and uncredited in 1974, deserved better.

Thank you to everyone for the birthday wishes! 😍 🥳 I will try to keep my BAC below the US dollar inflation rate. Shouldn't be too difficult, by the looks of things.

Just pulled my golf clubs out of the attic (mouse free for six months and counting!). Packing up my little one-pipe case with my MM Dagner poker and a pre-dried baggie of Drew Estate Harvest On Hudson. Going to be a fun one, provided that my playing partner refrains from discussing the LA Kings hockey team and their embarrassing performance last night...

Bird report: California scrub-jay, Dark-eyed junco, Steller's jay, California towhee, California quail, California kingbird, Red-tailed hawk, and Mountain chickadee. I'm sure there will be others on the course later.

Hope everyone has a good week.
Happy Birthday!

Very interesting, I never knew that about Bill Finger. I just sold a few of my Batman comics. The ones introducing the major villains, those are still in demand. I’m using the money for pipes. Exchanging one passion for another. Good information, thank you Mr. inks

About a quarter of a bowl left of aged Rattrays Hal O’ The Wynd in a straight smooth brown pre-WWII (Comoy’s) Corinthian De-Luxe 126 pot made for Sutliff in San Francisco with a black tapered vulcanite stem. Community Coffee, neat, is my drink.
