I don't really know but it was a very good piece of briarwood. Aged 27 years as advertised. I did buy more from the same seller a few months later and am still working on my 2nd homemade pipe.......

I think is Alexander. It's seller on eBay, and Alexander briar aged around 30 years.

I have 3 Alexander pipes, and the briar seems very good to me (taste nice also). But the last one I bought has bad drilling (of course this has nothing to do with the quality of the briar).

Then probably it wasn't from Alexander. It was just a nice raw piece of briarwood.
