I found this pipe in an antique store back in the states and the dings to the rim were already there. This is one of a dozen or so pipes that I bought from that shop that all belonged to one guy. Most of the pipes have the same damage to the rim from him knocking the pipe against something to empty the tobacco chamber. Is the chip on the rim from the drop? Glad it's been fixed.
Is that pipe "The Tasting 21"? I have the same pipe, it's one of my favourites, an excellent (and beautiful) workhorse pipe.GLP Barbary Coast in a Tsuge straight taper-stemmed light blast "Tasting Pipe" billiard. It's a large medium size pipe with an open draw and a big chamber. I really like the light blast and relatively low weight. I've been paying bills and running errands. I was relieved to find that my (to me) massive federal tax due got to the Treasury as regular first class mail. These days it's not a sure bet. It's early summer here, in the eighties, short-sleeve weather.
